Our Story
Our dream was to create a space that is more than a bar. Our delicious home cooked food coupled with our friendly staff has made an establishment we are proud to call our own. Whether you are stopping in for a quick drink, filling a hankering for a delicious fish fry, or planning an event- Badger's Den will be home to you.
Who We Are"We started Badger's Den in 2018, looking to combine our passion of cooking and drinking with our love of this community. We strive to make everyone feel welcome and leave with memories and a full belly. At the heart of everything we do is community. We partner with local charities, fundraisers, and events constantly- and want to give back to a community that has given to us."

The Badger's DenThe building that is now Badger's Den was built in 1861 by Kiel's founder: Henry Belitz. Originally serving as a United States Post Office, the building would change hands and purpose many times over its history. From a drug store to a public library, 401 Fremont Street would permanently land as a tavern in 1928. The gorgeous tin ceilings serve as a reminder of decades of taps flowing and community gathering.
